I will fight for YOU
I am running for the State Legislature because decisions made in Augusta are reshaping rural Maine without listening to the people who live and work here. We need leadership that defends our communities, protects our economy, and restores balance in state government.
When I get to Augusta, I intend to be a consistent, disciplined voice for rural Maine. I will not be someone who blends into the background. My first priority will be lowering the cost of living by opposing policies that drive up energy prices, property taxes, and everyday expenses for working families and seniors on fixed incomes.
I will defend local control and push back against one-size-fits-all mandates that ignore the realities of communities like ours. Rural towns deserve the authority to make decisions about land use, development, and economic priorities without being overridden by distant bureaucrats.
I also intend to protect and strengthen the industries that sustain Washington County - fishing, aquaculture, farming, forestry, and the trades. Overregulation and faulty policy threaten the very jobs that allow families to stay here. I will fight to preserve those livelihoods while promoting responsible stewardship of our natural resources.
Finally, I will demand transparency and fiscal discipline. Taxpayer dollars must be spent responsibly, and the government must answer to the people it serves. My goal is to deliver measurable results that make it more affordable and sustainable to live, work, and raise a family in rural Maine.
The cost of living is hitting Maine families hard, especially in rural communities like ours. Transparency and accountability must be non-negotiable. I will support and openly advocate for stronger oversight of state spending, demand clear reporting on how taxpayer dollars are used, and push back against no-bid contracts. The government should answer to the people. And I will work to ensure rural communities have a real voice in Augusta.
“Shall not be infringed” was written into the Constitution as a clear protection of the people’s rights. I fully support the Second Amendment and will defend the constitutional rights of citizens. I will oppose legislation that penalizes responsible gun owners.
The biggest problems are rising costs, overregulation of our core industries, and policies made without rural input. I will work to deliver results that lower energy and tax burdens, protect fishing, farming, and forestry jobs, and restore real local control. Rural Maine needs measurable results that allow families to live, work, and stay here.
